Las Lagunas is a natural wetland and is considered a deep water marsh which means it has up to 24″ of water for most of the year.  The marsh naturally goes dry, but because of our summer monsoon rains, we have water in our wetland now.. and that means we have water fowl visiting this beautiful oasis! Great Blue Herons, Egrets, Grebe and Mallards make Las Lagunas their home before migrating to other places.

“Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience.”  Ralph Waldo Emerson
